House of Investments together with the entire Yuchengco Group of Companies (YGC) are known for their strong Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, particularly through the AY Foundation, Inc.  These programs focus on areas like helping disadvantaged children, improving educational opportunities, supporting the arts, preserving our culture, and protecting the environment. Employees from House of Investments and other YGC members participate in CSR programs as volunteers, contributing to the success of these initiatives.

One prominent CSR project is the YGC Earth Care Project, which involves reforestation efforts and environmental conservation.

"Corporate well-being is manifest not only in hefty dividends. It is also evident in community integration and responsiveness. It is not enough to have successful ventures. It is just as important to respond to the needs of the community we find ourselves in." – Amb. Alfonso T. Yuchengco, 1999

DONATE BLOOD, SAVE LIVES – A LIFESAVING CSR INITIATIVE

The "Donate Blood, Save Lives" initiative—also known as the Bloodletting Project—is a vital component of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Since its launch in 2014 in partnership with MAPUA SOCIP and various hospitals, the project has played a crucial role in ensuring a steady supply of blood for transfusion needs while fostering a strong spirit of volunteerism and solidarity within the community. This meaningful initiative encourages voluntary blood donations, saving countless lives—including those of our employees and their loved ones.

The project marked a significant milestone with the overwhelming participation from the employees of the HI Group and Mapua students.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM AT THE HOME FOR THE ELDERLY – COMPASSION IN ACTION

In 2024, the Company launched a heartwarming volunteer initiative at the Home for the Elderly, as part of our ongoing employee engagement efforts. What began as a meaningful immersion activity soon developed into an enduring partnership, with the Home becoming one of our adopted communities.

This volunteer program offers employees the opportunity to cultivate compassion, empathy, and teamwork while making a positive impact on the lives of elderly residents. Each visit is filled with joyful activities such as singing, dancing, and playing bingo—simple yet meaningful experiences designed to bring happiness and companionship to the residents. The visits are more than community service—they are opportunities to connect deeply with others, strengthen team bonds, and contribute to a greater purpose.

This initiative reflects our company’s strong commitment to social responsibility and community-building, reaffirming that small acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact

BUY NOTHING CAMPAIGN – ADVOCATING SUSTAINABLE CONSUMPTION AND FOSTERING COMMUNITY

The Buy Nothing Campaign at House of Investments promotes sustainable consumption by encouraging employees to share, repurpose, and reuse items instead of purchasing new ones. This initiative not only nurtures environmental responsibility but also strengthens community bonds within the workplace, creating a culture of mindful resource use and collective support.
