HI’s major investments are in the sectors listed below.
HI owns a majority stake in one of the largest Philippine construction and general contracting firms, EEI Corporation. EEI has international operations spanning from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Asia. It is a market leader in the domestic construction and contracting sector. It also has a fabrication shop in Batangas.
EDUCATION AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
HI owns a majority stake in iPeople, inc. iPeople is the vehicle for our investments in the education and information technology sector.
iPeople (together with HI) wholly owns the Malayan Colleges Inc. (MCI) which operates under the name of Mapua Institute of Technology. The Mapua Institute of Technology is widely considered to be the leading engineering and I.T. school in the country. The main campus is in intramuros with an extension in Makati. MCI has two other campuses known as Malayan Colleges Laguna (MCL) and the Malayan High School of Science (MHSS). Respectively, MCI is expanding to Davao City through Malayan Colleges Mindanao (A Mapua School), Inc. and will start school operations in AY 2018-2019.
iPeople owns Pan Pacific Computer Center (PPCC). PPCC is an IT Solutions provider that also resells IT products and services to both YGC and Non-YGC clients.
HI owns and operates two car retailing groups: car dealerships under the Honda and Isuzu brands.
PROPERTY AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
HI owns and operates a project and property management company, Landev Corporation.
HI also owns a minority stake in and operates RCBC Realty Corporation, which owns RCBC Plaza.
HI is invested in HI-Eisai Pharmaceuticals through a joint venture with the Eisai Company of Japan. HI-Eisai imports pharmaceuticals from Japan which it sells in the Philippine market through established drug distributors. HI-Eisai has distinguish itself in the Philippines as the human healthcare corporation that markets high quality and innovative pharmaceutical products.
HI is invested in energy through its holdings PetroEnergy Resources Corporation (PERC) and in EEI Power’s various investments in renewable energy. PERC has investments in conventional and renewable energy, exploration and development.
